Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took a break from  campaigning to participate in a relatable experience for many Americans.

In Charleston, South Carolina, this past Saturday, Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential candidate,

deviated from the typical retail politics often associated with early-voting states, including her own,

to personally bid farewell to her husband, Maj. Michael Haley.

He is embarking on a year-long mission to Djibouti as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, Horn of Africa.

At The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, the 218th  Maneuver Enhancement Brigade held a solemn deployment ceremony at noon.
